The Department of Molecular Biology as a whole and, small user clubs composed of individual research groups, have invested considerable financial resources into establishing an impressive and versatile core infrastructure. This enables all of our research groups with diverse molecular biological interests to perform cutting-edge research of strategic international significance.
The following pages are designed to highlight most of this core infrastructure. Our goal is to encourage our own research staff to utilise all available equipment to its fullest capacity and thereby maximise research creativity and output.
However, in no situation is any item of equipment to be used without appropriate consent, training and/or supervision. There will be consequences in the event of misuse or abuse.
After appropriate consultation, many of these facilities are also available to colleagues outside of our department.
